Well i leave for San fran tomorrow! I cant believe it has come around so fast. I am so excited!
Sorry i havent been updating to much (sorry daniel.. i know you check out my site!) have been getting ready to go away!
Michael and hannah are staying home and will have to miss me for 2 weeks and apart from that... nothing much is happening.
our state team won the football grand final yesterday and i celebrated by sitting in a spa most of the game (not a football fan.. but watched the first and last quarter! Hee hee)
will post more when i get to san fran... and i promise a whole heap of photos when i get back!

Im catching up with some friends today that i havent seen in ages. im really excited.. they both have baby girls and i havent seen kirstyn little girl belle at all yet! Jaq and kirstyn used to be in the chorus and are both mummies now!

I am having a relaxing weekend this weekend.. the last like 6 have been full on.. so maybe some dvd's or movies! what are you all up to?

I got home yesterday at 4. i had the worst flight ever... i am still sick and had soooo much pressure in my head i thought it was going to explode! im not kidding! The poor man next to me was so kind. i was balling my eyes out and he kept saying 'keep yawning, keep chewing gum and keep swallowing' i was so lucky to sit next to a dad! I had a blocked ear for 8 hours.. but it went away at dinner!
so i landed and then did a Krispy Kreme run (if you missed out im soooo sorry! i repayed everyone that got me some and that was 4 boxes worth!)
and yesterday was Aunty Cathys birthday!

so i went to mums house for dinner and get to see everyone!
they saw all my photos and it was nice to see everyone again.
even though i was away 3 weeks, i have been really home sick. i miss michael heaps and being away made that part easier.. but not the rest!
I had the best trip ever.. but am kinda glad to be home with hannah!
Thanks to Laura for housesitting and cat sitting!
michael is home on sunday and happy birthday to his mum for tomorrow.

Sydney

We drove from Canberra to Sydney (about a 3 hour drive) and listened to some great tunes and conversation!
we stayed in a place called Glebe - in a little motor inn.
It kinda reminded me of Freo but in a smaller way. very cute and we could walk to the city in like 15 mins. perfect, cause i hate paying for taxies!
We checked in and then headed out to see the sights! we walked to some cafes and then we ended up in darling harbour. we walked around for a while and then decided to go to the opera house and bridge cause i hadnt been there at night before. we went back to darling harbour and ate at 'the meat and wine co' and had a great steak and some really good wine (hence the name!!!)
on sunday we went to the markets and outlets near china town. then had lunch in china town (not the best meal, but it was a good experience) then emily had to drive back to canberra for work on monday
On monday morning luarna came to sydney from scone. we met up and central station and droped her bags off at our hotel.
we went out to kings cross while she got a tattoo!!!! She got her 4 kids chinese starsigns on her arm.
we went to some more outlets and had lunch looking over the water. that night we ate in glebe.
on tuesday i had my hair done (has a little accident in canberra and my hair went orange!!) and then did yet some more shopping!
wednesday we did much the same... sightseeing, eating, and found a Krispy Kreme!
and then at 3 we took the bus to scone!
we made it there at 7 ish to a wonderful curry that jason had made. (did i mention he was a chef???)
i caught up with all the kids (paige 11, josh 10, abbie 8 and chloe 6)
I ate at lu and jas's restaurant 'quince' and felt a bit ill, so i went home.
long story short.. i ended up with the worst flu of my life! i dont remember ever being so ill! Luckily i didnt have too much to do as the kids were at school all day and lu and jas were at work.
at night i fed the kids and put them to bed and at the weekends we watched tv and the kids played with friends.
the kids have grown up so much and it was so good to see them. im sorry i was so sick but had an awesome time in scone... oh and quince is sooooo good... shame they are selling it!

Canberra pt 2

Well, when we got back from melbourne what did we do??
On Tuesday night emily had a Bollywood Dance class... so i went along to watch! It was pretty cool.. and if i find one in perth ill try to go to some!
on wednesday i met up with michaels nephew David for lunch! It was great to see him after along time away from perth. He lives and works in Woden, so after dinner i hung around and went to the woden wesfield shops. Much like garden city.
on wednesday night we went over to Daniels house for duck noodles (soooo good!) and i finally got to meet Keiser in person! We stayed for some tv and wine and headed home
on thursday I went to Belconnen and had a look around the neighbourhood and also picked up some pressies for emmygirl (a toaster, pedometer/radio and a tea cup for work!)
Thursday night i made emily and her 2 housemates dinner (chicken and pumpkin risotto!) and then had an early night.
on friday I made my way to the Craft Fair! I will be away when it comes to perth.. so i went in canberra. i got some more cross stitch and went looking around for a while. (perths was bigger.. but i still had fun!) after the fair i walked into the city and walked around the lake and took some photos and waited for emmyg to finish work. we then went for drinks for one of her friends birthday and then met neil and lyn for dinner at indian!
on sat we helped neil move house (he bought a unit.. small but very cute!) and had a champagne breakfast
then we headed off to sydney!

Melbourne

Well after spending only 1 day in Canberra.. Emily and I headed off to Melbourne!
First thing first... I was a little perplexed as to why people love the shopping so much??? I can understand if you have HEAPS of money and want designer clothes... but I realize Perth is great for shopping!
I LOVE the food and coffee the most!!!! an amazing array of cuisines and you ask for a long mac.... and guess what?????
you actually get one!!!!!! (not a long black with a dash of milk... c'mon Perth people... get it right)
Michael Dunjey.... you would love Melbourne!
We got there on a friday night and went to the hotel (right on Flinders street just near the station) and then took a walk over to crown casino and along the water!
on sat we spent the morning having prob the best breakfast I ever ate! then shopped around a bit. Loz and Brett came to pick us up and took us to their block about an hour away from the city. it was really nice to see the countryside of melb.
we then went to the docklands for a wine and nibbles and then back to their place in sandringham for dinner (and WAY too much wine!) we took a train back to the city and proceeded to drink more cocktails down in the hotel bar!!!
on sunday (feeling a little seedy!!) went to the victoria markets and spent the morning there. it was a big version of the freo markets... not my ideal.. but we had fun! we then caught up with some of emilys Manila friends for yum cha (again not my fav past time - well emilys either - but the conversation was great.. and great to hear some stories about Manila!) we then went on to Brunswick street for some shopping/eating/drinking coffee! I found dunjey some great shirts... he will love them!
we then went back to our hotel for room service (we got a $100 voucher with our room booking... so we used it on food and drink... we don't normally order room service!) and had an early night
we then got a phone call at 11.30pm saying that they had a noise compliant from our room! we were both asleep and really annoyed and he realized and was very apologetic. (I was still mad!)
the next morning (Monday) we headed off nice and early to Chapel Street. Again... good to see desinger clothes... but who can afford them?????? I found a tea house (now as you may know... I like tea. I like tea bag tea. Not loose leaves... I find them to strong.) BUT I tried some Chinese herbal tea and really loved it. It is not what I normally drink... but I bought some and am really enjoying it! Then we found a cool restaurant............

and I had Mexican and Emmy had a salad! Then we went on to the "outlets" which were pretty much non-existent on bridge road (sorry holly!) and so we headed back to the city to rest, change and head out again to Lygon Street.
we had the BEST italian meal there. This lady accosted us into her restaurant and said that her mum worked in the kitchen and if we went in we would have free wine and bread.... So we went in!
I had Lasagne and it was soooooo good. Just the right amount of meat and pasta. the wine was decent too (I thought it would be really bad cause it was free!!) emily had a creamy pasta and that was really good to. we then had Gelato (words can not describe how good it was!) and then headed home for well needed sleep!
On tuesday we went to breakfast with another of emilys work ppl from Manila. we then checked out of our hotel and stored our bags and off we went to tackle the city and china town one last time
we started by going for a hot chocolate at a place called max brennas... now I have heard about this place before and im not sure if I ordered incorrectly... but it was only ok for me!
we then headed off to china town to get some gifts and have some lunch. after lunch we heard of another choc cafe from loz and brett... so we thought we would try it (I thought that... emily hates chocolate and just wanted to know which one was better!!!!) so we went to Koko Black for a chocolate. we waited 15 mins just to get an order in (and it wasnt that busy) and then another 15 to get the drinks! Well let me tell you.... it was sooooooooo worth the wait! I dont think I have had a drink that I was so overwhelmed about! It was better than good! I mean... wow!!!!!! I said it was like drinking drops of heaven! even emily tasted it and said it was good! I wish there was one in Perth! Who wants to open one with me??????

we then went to myer (I lost my foundation and we think it was knocked into the bin when the cleaners were cleaning our room... but if you know me... I cant go anywhere without foundation!) so we got some foundation (sold to me by a really good looking-very gay guy) and then headed to the airport to come back to Canberra!

So in 1 week today im off to canberra and melbourne and Sydney!

I am visiting my sisters and am really excited!
In other news... our big show is on this sat! i will be really glad when it is all over... but what a ride it has been! The choreo is looking awesome as are costumes and makeup... should be a great show.. if you would like to come and see grown women as circus performers and are free this sat in perth.. drop me a line!
Michael leaves for china this sat as well. he is climbing a mountain.. crazy boy!
so ill probably post a bit more as i will have more time! and more to write about with my eastern states trip!

home again

so im home again without a car!
I have a meeting today so hopefully i can get there ok.

i am currently working on a cross stitch that i have had for about a year and it is still in very begining stages. I am also still working on a crochet rug that i have done for about 9 years! I love doing crafty things but never seem to remember to do them, so i have made an effort to try and keep them all up! since i have been home for a week without a car i have started them again.

I am going to a wedding on saturday in New Norcia (2 hours from perth) and im really looking forward to it. we are staying the night in a B&B and having a breakfast with the bride and groom in the morning!

I am going to go to canberra and sydney in august to visit my sisters. we may also make a trip to melbourne. michael is going to china to climb a mountain so i thought i should go away too!

i think that is all thats going on with me at the moment

so i was home all day yesterday with a really bad migrane... and it was terrible because i had to stay home and we had so much on! i missed a afternoon tea with michaels family, church and a dinner with my family!
oh well.. i feel better today although i can still feel a faint headache!
in other news, michaels car broke down (yes again!) and so im forced to stay home without a car!
maybe we need a new one... what do you think?

Hi there
Just to update you and let you know that im ok!!!!
I went to brisbane a few weeks ago for the National SAI Competition and I actually went to a Big Brother eviction.. yes i know!!! But i had sooooo much fun! Lauretta and I had a ball.
I have been home now for 2 weeks and just working hard at chorus for our show on the 29th July. I am now the choreographer of the chorus and have alot of work to do in that and also as the events chair!
Work is getting a little busier.. word of mouth is such a good thing!
and Im off to Vegas on the 3rd October for the international BBShop competition! (to steal some great moves off the best!)

Have been going to the gym every day except weekends!! and have been enjoying it alot more than i thought i would!
I have a retreat this weekend for singing.. we have a coach coming over from the east to coach us at chorus... and i am really looking forward to it cause she is a visual coach and that is my strength!
apart from that, the same old.. working, playing, swimming, and going to church! a good basis for ones life!
looking forward to emily coming home real soon... Keep watching for updates!

28 today.. 28 today.....
well not sure if its a great thing!!!! but today i turned 28! The day started off with a delightful breakfast with michael at Giardini's and then i came home and made a cokeacola cake! then I had booked myself in for a massage, then it was off to lunch with mum and sam at sassellas. I then went shopping (2 pairs of shoes and a top!!!!) and then it was home for a breif moment to collect the husband and cake and then off to cell group for dinner and fellowship!
All in all a very productive and awesome birthday! I am having dinner with dad on monday night and then a fam bbq next sat!
a week of festivities.

I hope everyone gets spoilt and eats alot on this fake love day! HEE HEE In other news, Aunty Cathy ran with the commonwealth games baton on friday! It was awesome.
we watched her run, then went back to a friends house for brunch then had a huge party at mums house at night. it was a great day with lots of champagne and songs!
I am going out for dinner tonight to Himali Gurkha for Valentines Day. I have been there for dinner on this day a few years ago and it was really fun. They had competitions and prizes and we won some! So I hope it will be as much fun. Ill let you know! Michael got me a teddy bear and my fav lindt chocolate!! YUMMMMMM

Yes that is right.. Michael left this morning for india and i wish i could have gone with him! He has gone to build a well for a village to get them some running water. He is such a good boy!

Hi there! Sorry it had taken me so long to write.. been a bit slack. How was everyones new year? Let me know on the message board... Michael and I went to the sheraton and had a very quiet new year.. it was nice though.
Tonight we are going to see the perth premiere of the producers (i won 4 tickets from the newspaper!) at the Burswood. apart from that, we are not doing much these days.
I am getting back into work from the new year break and watching alot of plasma tv!
am really getting into a new series.. Firefly.. its a si-fi and really good. you should watch it. (not the australian one about fire fighters!!)

Christmas 05

Hi!
How is everyone? I hope you had a great christmas. I did! I was spoilt - as usual! and we decided to get a big present this year instead of little crap that you always get! so we got a 42inch (106cm) plasma tv! IT IS HUGE!!!! So now we get to watch great tv.. still needs a better sound system, but is awesome to watch! Hannah was spoilt with a brush and lots of treats. I also got some cooking pots from mum, an atari from my brother and some charms from melissa.
all in all a good year.
on boxing day i woke up with hives (same as what i had about 3 years ago, but we caught it early and it has gone now.. the drugs are still making me sleepy though!) so i am at home doing nothing!
I hope everyone had a great christmas and i hope to catch up with you all soon

Home Sweet Home

Well, yes I am home! It has taken me a really really long time to write again.... and really i have no excuse whatsoever! hee hee
I have been home for about 3 weeks and had the most amazing time in america and canada! I started out in Detroit (which was for the singing convention) and had a great time, although i dont know if i would go back in a huge hurry!!!! i was there for about a week and took the bus to canada (that was kinda strange, being so close to the boarder and looking across the river to another country!) and went to the henry ford museum and shopped at outlets - youknow what you normally do on holidays!
I then went to Milford CT and stayed a week with my friends Missy and Scott. We went pumpkin picking, saw Cirque de Soliel (funny story.. ask my husband!), went to the Casino - Mohegan Sun, had an amazing poker tournament, went shopping (of course!) and had the best time ever!
I then crossed the air by plane... well i think it was a plane! there were about 10 seats total in this "plane" and i dont think i have ever been so scared in ALL my life!!!the pilot kept looking around and giving us the thumbs up! there was no air hostess, i dont even think there was a bathroom! luckily the flight was only 1 hour! so i landed in canada (toronto) and caught up with my very good friend Rhiannon who moved there about 4 months ago. It was so good to see her! we had so much fun in 3 short days. and i dont think I have ever done so many things in 3 days before! we went to a castle, had some guys by us apple martinis!, went shopping, a quick tour by foot/train of toronto, went up the CN tower at sunset and then stayed for the most amazing dinner ever! then i had to leave toronto and head on home way to early as i could have spent another 2 weeks away!
so now i am home and setting up my business. Back to normality!
I am getting a laptop, what are your feelings on apple macs???
anyone???? please comment!

The Secrets out!!

Well, now I know that everyone can trust me with a secret!
My brother has been travelling for 2 1/2 years and 2 months ago told me that he would be coming home early. Well on thursday he did! I picked him up from the airport and suprised everyone. My sister melissa was the only other person who knew!! My mum was the most suprised! I had so much fun... but it was the hardest secret to keep from her!
I now have 6 sleeps till i go away.. and Keiser dont worry, hannah will be looked after by her dad!

18 Days to go!

I leave in 18 days! that is so close that it is a bit scary!
I have now changed my flights (since we cant go to N.O) and am now going to toronto to visit a friend from perth! will still be spending a week in milford too!!
I am really starting to look forward to going though. you know how it never feels like your going till you get to the airport... im feeling that at the moment.
We have so many rehearsals up till we go.. my poor husband wont see me for ages.. oh well.. he will appreiciate me more when i get back!
we had a concert on sat night to show ourselves off.. and it was a great show!

Detroit Baby!!

Well the wonderful people at the international HQ in the US have changed a convention in 3 days! Obviously we cant compete in New Orleans, so they changed citys! 10,000+ people are now going to Detroit! If any one has been there can you please let me know what it is like!!!! i am really glad that we can still go and sing for our country.

New Orleans Floods

Well we are meant to leave for new orleans in 4 weeks, but i am not sure what is going to happen. can a city clean up a mess like that in 4 weeks? We will have to wait and see. I have to pay for my ticket in full by friday so i hope to know what is going on by then!!!
I do hope that the people are ok and that they can get temp housing so they have a place to stay. they were also saying about disease in the flood water.. lets hope that doesnt happen!

1995 School Reunion

Well.. what a good night! If you are at all hesitant about going to a reunion, dont be! It was really strange seeing everyone, people change but I recognized everyone there. I also thought that I was the only one that didnt keep in touch with anyone from high school, but in actual fact the majority of people dont. A few people are married, but heaps of people have kids! I was really surprised at that. The school has changed so much but i guess that is expected after 10 years.
Tonight i have singing again and we leave in like 4 weeks. heres hoping and praying that the cyclone doesnt do much damage and that we can still go to new orleans!!!

My singing voice

Well as you may or may not know, i sing for a group called the perth harmony chorus. we are representing australia in New Orleans in about 5 weeks!!!!
Well lately i have been having a bit of trouble singing my lower notes.. so today i went to a voice clinic. They numbed my nose and throat and stuck a fibre optic cable with a camera down my nose and checked out my vocal chords!!!! the cable was as thick as your little finger nail and it was very gross!!!!! I kept gagging cause i could feel it! the docs probably thought i was a wacko!
anyway, turns out i sing with alot of tension in my throat and am now going to get voice lessons to fix it! hopefully it will all be done by the time i go to america!

In other news i have my 10 year high school reunion tonight!! I am looking forward to it, but i know some of my friends from school wont be there... oh well.. will post more about that one tomorrow!

So I thought that I would create a blog since I know so many people who have one (even my cat!) and now they can keep up with me and my family - where and what we are doing.
